This leucistic juvenile female Black-chinned Hummingbird was first observed at Carolyn’s CMO on August 2, 2010.  She was captured and banded there on August 10th and after that vacillated back and forth from CMO to Suzy and Terry Ervin’s house, one of our  banding site three miles SSW from CMO.  She was last observed on August 23rd and we were sad to see her leave.  When she flew across our Chihuahuan Desert landscape she truly look like a tiny white fairy.
